Magigoo Flex

4.5 · from 3,000+ reviews

Magigoo Pro Flex was developed specifically for flexible filaments, which often struggle with bed adhesion and have a high tendency to warp. Acting as an intermediate layer between the build-plate and the print, it delivers just the right amount of grip — parts stick firmly while printing and pop off easily once the bed cools down.")

What it sticks to.

Discover which materials work best with Magigoo adhesive for optimal 3D printing results.

TPU

Optimised
Bed Temperature: 40–60 °C

Designed for reliable first-layer adhesion with flexible TPU filaments while allowing easy part removal after printing.

TPE

Optimised
Bed Temperature: 40–60 °C

Provides strong adhesion for flexible TPE filaments, helping reduce first-layer lifting and print failures.

TPC

Compatible
Bed Temperature: Per filament spec

Suitable for standard polypropylene filaments, providing reliable adhesion on the print bed.

TPA

Compatible
Bed Temperature:  40–60 °C

Suitable for flexible TPA filaments, providing improved first-layer adhesion on the print bed.

PCTPE

Compatible
Bed Temperature: Per filament spec

Helps improve adhesion when printing flexible PCTPE materials, particularly for larger or more demanding prints.

TPE 90A

Compatible
Bed Temperature: Per filament spec

Suitable for flexible TPE 90A filaments, providing reliable adhesion and easier part removal.

Application

Three steps. No rituals.

The same easy-application chemistry as every Magigoo — designed specifically for flexible filaments like TPU, TPE and TPC.

01

Shake, press, swipe

Shake the bottle for 3–5 seconds. Press the nib against the bed to activate the spring valve. Spread one thin layer evenly across the print area.

Don't squeeze the bottle when the cap is off. The valve does the work.
02

Print immediately

No drying time needed. Print according to your filament manufacturer's recommended bed and nozzle settings — the first layer bonds firmly through the entire job.

Same Z-offset as you'd use without adhesive. Don't compensate — the layer is microns thin.
03

Cool, then remove

Let the bed cool completely. Remove the flex sheet, give it a gentle bend, and your part releases. For hard plates, a finger flick at the corner is usually enough. The same coat handles multiple prints.

When you do refresh — a damp cloth, no chemicals, no scraping.

I've tried all sorts of bed adhesion products, but the most effective and easiest to use has always been Magigoo.

I was blown away after the very first layer. Magigoo holds strong when hot, and the parts pop right off once it cools. Customer for life.

My first choice when it comes to adhesives. Applied once, it holds through several print jobs before I need to reach for the bottle again.

My go-to for printing engineering-grade nylons. It helps with both adhesion and release, and since switching I've had zero issues.

Magigoo was the answer to years of warping on carbon-fibre nylon prints. It lasts a long time too: we only reapply after around ten prints.

One of the best performing solutions we've used. Extremely reliable, easy to apply and easy to clean up.

If you're printing engineering filaments like ABS, ASA or nylon, you really need this. Without it you'll either get too little adhesion or too much and risk damaging your print bed. This stuff hits the sweet spot.

An absolute game changer. I'd been fighting bed adhesion on my Ender 3 for a year and had nearly given up on 3D printing. Now my prints stick perfectly with no bowing, and clean-up is easy.

Excellent product for holding troublesome prints down. I'm not sure of the chemistry, but it activates with heat and releases as it cools. I print mostly PETG and PLA, very happy.

If you're looking for an adhesive, you're probably already frustrated. This makes things simpler. Don't remove parts while the bed's still warm though: let it cool fully and they lift right off on their own.

Magigoo made it possible to print parts that were designed to be difficult, on build plates that previously couldn't get past the first layer. The improvement carries through to more specialised plates too.

I needed parts resistant to concentrated acids and acetone, printed in a filament that basically only sticks to itself. After trying every setting and tape combination, Magigoo worked perfectly, with almost zero warping.

FAQs

Quick answers, real fast.

Using Magigoo

Should I reapply Magigoo Flex after every print?

Not necessarily. A single application can often be used for multiple prints. Reapply when the adhesive layer becomes visibly worn or adhesion starts to decrease.

When should I clean the build plate?

Clean the build plate when the surface becomes contaminated or when adhesion performance decreases. A clean surface helps maintain consistent first-layer adhesion.

Why is my flexible filament not sticking?

Flexible filaments can behave differently depending on their hardness and formulation. If your first layer is not adhering, first check that the build plate is level and that Magigoo Flex has been applied evenly. Then adjust the bed temperature in 5–10 °C increments within the filament manufacturer's recommended range.

Why is my flexible print difficult to remove from the build plate?

Flexible materials can remain closely bonded to the build surface because of their elasticity. Let the build plate cool completely before removal. If you are using a flexible build plate, gently flex it to help release the print rather than pulling directly on the flexible part.

Can Magigoo Flex be used with very soft flexible filaments?

Yes. Magigoo Flex is designed for flexible materials with different levels of hardness. For very soft filaments, make sure the first layer is properly calibrated and avoid excessive pressure when removing the print.

The applicator popped off. Help!

This usually happens when the bottle was squeezed instead of pressed. The applicator is designed to release product only when the nib is pressed down. Just push it back firmly — it should snap back into place.

For future use, remember: press, don't squeeze.
