Shake, press, swipe
Shake the bottle for 3–5 seconds. Press the nib against the cold build plate to activate the spring valve. Spread one thin stripe back and forth — the goal is even coverage, not thickness.
BASF Ultrafuse 316L allows desktop FDM printers to produce solid 316L stainless steel parts through a print-then-sinter process — but its thermoplastic binder makes prints highly prone to warping, and the resulting "green parts" are delicate to handle. Magigoo Pro Metal was developed specifically to solve this, providing reliable first-layer adhesion during printing while enabling safe, damage-free part removal through simple water submersion.

Designed for reliable first-layer adhesion with Ultrafuse 316L filaments while allowing safe part removal after printing.
The same easy-application chemistry as every Magigoo — engineered for BASF Ultrafuse 316L metal filament.
Shake the bottle for 3–5 seconds. Press the nib against the cold build plate to activate the spring valve. Spread one thin stripe back and forth — the goal is even coverage, not thickness.
No drying time needed. Print according to your filament manufacturer's recommendations, with a build-plate temperature of 90–110°C. An enclosed or heated chamber is recommended.
Unlike other Magigoo products, parts don't pop off on cooling. Submerse the build plate in water (or soak around the part) for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on size — the part will release on its own or with a gentle twist.

Magigoo Metal is used during the printing stage and is compatible with the subsequent processing workflow. Follow the filament manufacturer's recommended debinding and sintering procedure for the printed part.
The most common cause is bed temperature being too low. Try increasing in 5–10°C increments until you find the sweet spot. Also check:
Bed is likely too hot. Decrease the bed temperature in 5–10°C increments. Elephant's foot (where the first few layers bulge out) usually disappears once you find the right temperature.
This usually happens when the bottle was squeezed instead of pressed. The applicator is designed to release product only when the nib is pressed down. Just push it back firmly — it should snap back into place.
For future use, remember: press, don't squeeze.
